Bangkok--12 Jan--Francom Asia Hong Kong Tourism Board, in co-operation with Cathay Pacific Airways, proudly presents the Chinese New Year Celebrations to allow travelers from around the globe to enjoy this most anticipated and best-loved tradition ever happened on earth. The event features not-to-be-missed highlight of the international night parade set to begin on the night of February 3rd, 2011. Enjoy the scene of Lunar New Year Fireworks Display at night on February 4th as thousands of local residents and travelers flock to both sides of Victoria Harbour to witness the magnificent spectacle of evening fireworks and officially welcome the year of Rabbit. This is the 16th year the night parade has been held to stun spectators in Hong Kong’s Chinese New Year Celebrations. Reserve the best spot in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui to get the best view of the night parade, where the culture of the West and the East mix synergistically with dragon and lion dance, illuminated floats, marching bands and world-class performance from across the continents. This annually-held Chinese New Year international night parade has been recognized by media throughout the world. Lonely Planet Bluelist once selected the event as the world’s most fascinating attractions and celebrations, while Travel + Leisure ranked the parade in the top six great Chinese New Year parties in the world. In 2010, the news of this event was broadcast and printed by the world media including CNN and released in 14 countries. The show time will start at 8 pm on February 3rd and end at around 9.30 pm, beginning at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon and proceed along Canton Road, Haiphong Road, Nathan Road and Salisbury Road and end outside the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers. Spectators can view the parade for free along the route.
