In celebration of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 84th Birthday Anniversary on 5 December 2011, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is launching a major fund raising drive to raise funds for the construction of the Sayamindradhiraj Medical Institute at Siriraj Hospital. THAI aims to raise 84 million baht toward the construction of the institute.
Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, President of THAI, with Clinical Professor Teerawat Kulthanan, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Associate Professor Dr. Dittakarn Boriboonhirunsan, M.D., Ph.D., Deputy Dean of Public Relations and Special Affairs jointly presided over a press conference on the launch of the “Ruam Jai Thai for the King” project.
Mr. Kittiampon said, “THAI is honored to launch the ‘Ruam Jai Thai for the King’ project to mark His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 84th Birthday Anniversary. The project, having started 5 December 2010 and continuing to 4 December 2011, will involve THAI donating 20 baht per ticket for all THAI domestic and international tickets purchased within Thailand.”
Further, members of THAI’s Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer program may donate miles, at a minimum 1,000 miles or more, to support the “Ruam Jai Thai for the King” project.
