Bangkok--14 Jan--Siam Motors “Komatsu” shakes up the excavator market by launching the campaign “Dig Up A Million Baht”, that seeks to locate the most skilled excavator operator of Thailand. This campaign includes the Komatsu championship competition of Thailand that is set up for the purpose of helping the customer all over Thailand to develop a greater understanding of the capabilities of Komatsu’s Excavator. This year Komatsu aims to increase customer satisfaction and assure all shareholders that the market growth is booming as ever and will continue in this direction. Mr.Pranitan Phornprapha, Executive Vice President and COO of Bangkok Komatsu Sales Limited, has revealed that the company recognizes the significance of industrial machinery, which are important tools to help develop our nation, whether in the areas of constructing public utilities, buildings, housing communities, or agriculture usage. Komatsu not only provides powerful machinery, but also the understanding of the machine’s capabilities, which can only achieve its maximum potential if it is used correctly and safely.This is why Komatsu has launched the Komatsu Thailand Competition: the Championship Battle withKomatsu under the campaign “Dig Up A Million Baht”, which would further develop the understanding for excavator operators and help the users to utilize the Komatsu excavators to its maximum potential. “The activities of this campaign will set the correct standard for operating an excavator, which would consider the customer’s safety and the increase the machine’s efficiency. Mr.Pranitan continues to explain that the “Dig Up A Million Baht” campaign will start its first round of search and selection for the master of excavators in the northeastern region, on Saturday, 22nd January, 2011 at the KonKaen Province. Then the search for the Komatsu Thailand Competition will continue with the Northern region, Southern region, and finishing with the Central region. Furthermore, Komatsu has arranged a great variety of activities for theaudiences at these competitions to cheer and possibly win a gold necklace and many more prizes to take home. Mr.Pranitan goes on to mention that other than the activities Komatsu has meticulously prepared to build the brand quality, the service of the year 2011 will also continue to be one of the Komatsu’s top priority and will emphasize on increasing the customer satisfaction, which will be enhanced by the after-sale service policy. Because Komatsu views that this business category still has problems with a large number of those who uses artificial spare parts and also the lack of after-sale services, causing damages to the customer’s business process. “I view that we would like to present our customers and other excavator users with valuable knowledge and information that the usage of artificial spare parts and the lack of the proper after-sale service could ruin their business in the long term and also lose many more business opportunities than expected,” said Mr.Pranitan. The year 2011 has paved a way as Komatsu prepares to invest in 2-3 more branches that will be located in Chonburi, KonKaen, and Ratchaburi, in addition to the 23 branches Komatsu already has around the nation, which will all receive a new face-lift. In the year 2011, Komatsu aims for the rate of growth to increase about 10-15%, due to the recovering conditions of today’s economy. In addition, the government has approved a budget to support Thai KemKaeng Policy, resulting in the revived activities for all industries, especially the construction industry.
