Bangkok--14 Jan--Total Quality PR The members of the Thai Wine Association, which include Alcidini, Granmonte Family Vineyards, PB Valley Khao Yai Winery, Siam Winery, Silverlake Vineyards, and Village Farm have announced the harvest festival program starting from February until mid-March 2011. Fun and exciting activities includes harvesting, music and dance, fine dinners and wine tastings. The members of the Thai Wine Association are commencing the 2011 harvest in February and lasting until March of 2011. Throughout this period an array of interesting and fun-filled activities will take place in Khao Yai, Pattaya and Hua Hin regions. Visitors to the regions can participate in the annual harvesting of premium Thai grapes and meet with winemakers and owners alike. All grape harvesters are hosted to a casual lunch. During the evening, the member wineries will host their own festivities to celebrate the harvest with good food, music and other fun activities celebrating Bacchus, the god of wine and the recent success in the international competitions. Kicking off the series of activities are the wineries from Khao Yai Wine Region. GranMonte proudly presents the Annual Harvest Festival “Pick of The Season 2011”. This starts off by the GranMonte Family Vineyards’ winery tour before sunset on February 5th, 2011, guided by in-house oenologist Nikki Lohitnavy, followed by a wine dinner and live music to celebrate the abundance of a year harvest. The next day’s event, Feb 6th, will feature a grape picking & other fun competitions and lunch. Joining this annual event will be family members of Hubert de Bouard, owner of Chateau Angelus and La Fleur de Bouard. 9 magnum bottles of Chateau Angelus will be sent to join the celebration. VIPs in Thai wine industry, press/media and business partners will be present in this festival Another long awaited annual event in Khao Yai region is PB Valley Khao Yai Winery’s annual tradition of the “Harvest Festival 2011” on Saturday, February 12th 2011. There will be many activities including an exclusive wine tour, harvesting fresh grapes and dinner on the vineyard with live music. At Village Farm, the annual “night harvest” is set for the night of February 26th, 2011. This event will feature a wine maker dinner and at night the harvest of the grapes is planned. The second event, the “Winter Music 2011” is a romantic classical music event in the middle of rows of beautiful grapes, which is organized on the evening of Saturday, March 5th, 2011. With the late pruning programmed for only a few plots of syrah grapes last year, a second night harvest will also be possible to set up on that same day. Guests will enjoy the cool ambience of Village Farm vineyard while listening to soothing music and enjoying good food and wines. In Pattaya, visitors can also join Silverlake Vineyard for their festivities, kicking off with a Classical Concert with delightful concertos of Antonio Vivaldi performed by Richard Harvey on January 20th, 2011 - call it "The Overture" and with 4 episodes thereafter on February 3rd, 17th, and March 3rd, . and with "The Finale" on March 17th, 2011. Also on February 10th, 2011, Silverlake will have a Charity Concert entitled "To Love & To Give" with performances by "B-Peeraphat", "Sumeth and the Pang", "Ben Chalathit", "Infinity Jazz Band" and many other various artists. Siam Winery’s Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is offering a special Valentine’s package for guests to share a romantic picnic at the beautiful vineyard from February 12th — 14th. The Hua Hin Hills Vineyard is the ideal romantic location for couples to celebrate this special day. The celebration of the 2011 harvest season will start from February 18th until March 31st, 2011, where travelers and wine-lovers are welcome to hop on a jeep and pick the fresh ripen grapes from the grapevines, as well as stomping it in the traditional winemaking process and bring back the picture as a special souvenir. Guests will also experience special harvest menu, prepared by the Sala Wine Bar and Bistro’s Chef de Cuisine, exclusively for this harvest season, and indulge in jazz sounds and easy listening rhythms every weekend. The main highlight will be at the Wine Harvest Dinner, which is scheduled on March 5th, 2011, which includes a special full course menu paired with award-winning Monsoon Valley Wines.
