The energetic, witty and touching experimental theatre show Khamoey! (Thieves! Ladri!) is conquering the West from the East.

"Khamoey! (Thieves! Ladri!)" presented by Maurizio Mistretta's Atelier of ALL SOUL Production Company Limited is the first of three episodes of Caligula Party - an experimental approach to Camus' Caligula. You are drawn into a social experiment on power in human society.
What is power? All of us deal with power each and every day of our lives. We do it consciously and subconsciously. Most of the time we do not realize it.
The center of the play is somebody who was considered the most powerful person of his time, Caligula. Caligula or Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus was the emperor of Rome from 37 AD to 42 AD. After 5 years in power he was murdered by the ones closest to him. According to the surviving scriptures he was one of the cruelest emperors Rome has ever seen. His excessive fight for the absolute power almost plunged the Empire into chaos. However, history is written by the winners and things can be different from what they seem.
The classic text of Camus keeps being highly relevant for our society where the fight for power is still so prevalent. How far will you let the people in charge go? When do you say stop? Facing Caligula you have little time to decide before...
Together with Patchanee Poonthong and Robin Schroeter, Maurizio has established ALL SOUL Production Co., Ltd., and his Branch Maurizio Mistretta's Attelier (MM Atelier) for the production of experimental theatre plays in English and Thai Language. Thanks to the cosmopolitan and multi-national character of Bangkok MMA Maurizio finds lots of inspiration and material to produce plays with contemporary context. MMA constantly develops new formats to establish and maintain a point of reference for the Southeast Asian art production and entertainment industry.
Maurizio Mistretta, Italian actor and Art Director of ALL SOUL Production Co., Ltd., presents his first English and Thai language theatre production in Thailand. In Italy Maurizio is a well-known authority in the theatre world producing and acting in time critical plays with prisoners and young offenders for 20 years. His Italian theatre troupe grasped media attention for the intensity and intimacy of their performances.
Robin Schroeter has been active in the Bangkok Community Theatre performing in last year's Fringe. He has acted and directed English language theatre plays in his home country, Germany, and worked for TV commercials and voice-over works in Bangkok.
Khamoey! introduces Patchanee Poonthong to stage. Patchanee convinced the audiences with her professional intense and energetic performance.

There will be one more performance of the first episode of Caligula Party - "Khamoey! (Thieves! Ladri!) on the 12th of February before moving on to the second episode Som Nam Na on the 4th, 5th and 12th of March. Tickets are 400 baht (250 baht for students). As the ALL SOUL venue also features the ALLDeli restaurants a reservation for a wine dinner at 990 Baht can be made prior to the event. The wine dinner starts from 7.30 pm (reservation required!). The theater performance starts at 9.00 pm.
The show is being performed at ALL SOUL Production Company, 302/1-2 Srinakarindra 24 Rd (Soi Anamai) (Soi Chantima). The venue is a 10-minute taxi ride from either On Nut BTS station or Huamark Airport Link Station.
