'Asian Pulse 10+1 Art Tactic' is an Ingenious approach, an integrated art strategy adopted by Mainland China and the ten ASEAN countries to strengthen bonds and expand Sino-ASEAN cultural horizon in the future by exchanging dialogue through Contemporary Art and foster greater-interaction, setting benchmark for the new ‘Regionalism’. The collaboration displays the commonality in Asian culture that survives till this day underneath all the layers of religious and cultural diversities, prevalent and flourishing in the exhibition.
Thailand proudly stands as the host destination for prolonging the dialogue and solidarity in Sino-ASEAN art and cultural scene following the accomplishment of ‘The 6th Songzhuang Art and Cultural Festival’, Beijing in September 2010 with active participation of Chinese and Thai artists.
The exhibition theme "Megalopolis" houses thriving artist community from China, Thailand and Singapore boasting a wide spectrum of genres including painting, photography, installation, video and performance. The exhibition is a significant landmark in Thai Contemporary Art, spearheaded by eloquent Thai and Chinese artists displaying indigenous culture, social lifestyle, values and style of art with the aim of promoting cultural development and exchanging artistic views through exhibitions in a harmonious environment, crafting cultural resonance by nostalgic analogies that China and ASEAN countries share.
Artistic expressions as a potential universal language unifying diverse cultures, consolidating social solidarity, promoting regional collaboration and binding nations on a common platform for exchanging values, ideas, art, culture & social life experiences has been long established. As the world still grapples with economic recovery, China and ASEAN countries have maintained solidarity offering positive contributions to its contemporary society. Last two decades witnessed Asian contemporary art escalating, attributable to the mushrooming International and regional biennials and triennials orienting the world's attention to the continent. The emergence of contemporary art exhibitions across Asia has nourished regional prosperity and consolidated relations; transcending the borders and bridging cultural exchange.
The exhibition ‘Asian Pulse 10+1 Art Tactic — China and ASEAN Contemporary Art Traveling Exhibition’ is an absolute delight to experience for the audience.
