Pop Colour
Paint-box colours bring exuberance and fun to the new season. Bold stripes in Kelly green, cobalt blue and white appear on a form-fitting cotton shift and full mini-skirt. Elsewhere clashes of fuchsia and poppy combine on body-con dresses. Florals are modernised with vibrant pixellated prints in orange and pillar-box red. Block colours are key too; an elegant draped dress in sunshine yellow is cinched at the waist with a wide black waistband.
Seventies Redux
Sleek daywear channels the seventies for spring. A crisp white canvas dress with Jackie O belted waist has a sexy cut-away back to reveal the shoulder blades. The classic khaki safari dress is given a modern spin with a fresh, boxy silhouette while separates include neat button-front skirts in beige canvas or denim, cool chambray shirts and flares in white or indigo
The decade echoes through evening too; a purple butterfly maxi-dress is decorated with chain and bead tribal embroidery while shorter versions come in geranium or violet. A black silk all-in-one with short kimono sleeves is pure Studio 54 glamour.
The Big Easy
Relaxed pieces offer a calm alternative to spring’s more vibrant trends. The jacket is still key but softens up in a sheer black georgette biker jacket or draped mushroom silk bolero. Karen Millen’s signature biker jacket comes in soft grey or tan leather while trousers also have an easy feel in fluid black or khaki silk or mink cupro. Draped dresses in digital printed jersey or light silks or slouchy striped knits add to the relaxed mood while covetable separates including lace shorts add texture.
Accessories
Accessories play with pops of colour; glossy hand-held and shoulder bags come in shiny patent in neon yellow, cobalt blue and tomato while elegant heels in electric blue or graphic stripes add a final flourish of intense colour.
Oversized totes are superlight in monochrome or studded nude leathers while tassled macram? shoes and animal prints play on tribal themes of the main collection.
