THAI to Operate Second Evacuation Flight Direct to Cairo, Egypt

Bangkok--3 Feb--Thai Airways Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) said it would operate a second evacuation flight direct to Cairo, Egypt on 3 February 2011, to bring 300 Thais stranded in Egypt back to Thailand. Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI President, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand has requested THAI’s support to operate a second evacuation flight to bring 300 additional Thais still in Egypt back to Thailand. With the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinating and arranging the various flight permits, the special THAI flight will depart Bangkok, Thailand on 3 February 2011 with a Boeing 777-300 aircraft and flying directly to Cairo, Egypt. In addition to arranging the aircraft and crew, THAI coordinated with Cairo airport ground services, including the air traffic control and refueling service.
