Weber Shandwick today announced the appointment of Barkha Patel as general manager of Weber Shandwick Thailand, effective immediately.
Patel will be responsible for leading Weber Shandwick's operations in Thailand and helping to further bolster collaboration across McCann Worldgroup disciplines in Thailand.
“Barkha is a highly accomplished communications specialist with an impressive career that spans the financial services, consumer goods, IT and engineering sectors,” said Baxter Jolly, Weber Shandwick’s vice chairman for Asia Pacific. “She has a strong track record and will be an invaluable member in helping us build our capacity and capabilities in the longer-term in this very important market."
Patel has more than 15 years of industry experience in Asia Pacific, five of which were with Weber Shandwick in Singapore, where she received the Asia Pacific Leadership Award in 2005.
