Bangkok--7 Feb--BC COMMUNICATION Ajarn Patrachit Chotikapanich appreciated the number of parents and students who attended the open day seminars which were organized in November 2010 and January 2011. The school will open for students who are interested in the programme to submit their application for the admission test between February 14th to March 4th 2011. Parents and students can access the school website www.prasarnmitinternationalprogram.com or call 02-2609621-3 for further information. Ajarn Patrachit, the Project Manager and the key figure for the foundation and establishment of the Satit Prasarnmit International Programme under the Srinakharinwirot University Prasarnmit Demonstration School (Secondary) said: “ There was a large number of parents and students who participated in the open day seminars conducted on November 27th 2010 and January 29th 2011, where they gained a great deal of information about the programme’s objective and curriculum for their children’s educational choice. Many of them expressed their interest to enroll their children in the programme.” The objective of this programme is to deliver an international education within a government school as a further choice for Thai students who want to change from studying in a Thai programme to an international programme. The programme will reinforce the learning process of the students and strengthen their knowledge internationally via the British National Curriculum. The use of English language taught throughout the programme is one of the key factors that will assist students to improve their language skills significantly when they complete the programme. The curriculum and teaching methods will produce the essential skills and knowledge of students for their future success in the current challenging global era. In this second year, the enrolment number will be 50 students for year 8 and 25 students for year 10 (first year of IGCSE). The 2011 academic year will start in June 2011 when a 6 week preliminary Bridging course will prepare students before entering into the main programme of the 2011 academic year which consists of 3 terms, starting in August, and a summer school. Ajarn Patrachit also commented: “We have learnt from our first year experiences and we continue to improve in many areas including academic, facilities and learning equipment. We are now in the process of recruiting new teachers to cover the total number of students which will be double that of the first year. We also are in the process of registering our programme as a Cambridge Examination Centre which will allow us to access the Cambridge curriculum and learning materials for the ICGSE exam. I do believe that our objective of true academic excellence will be achieved in the year ahead.” For more Information, please contact BC COMMUNICATION : Mr.Varayupussara (Old Name Veerapong) Ussadontirayut (How) Public Relation Adviser Email : [email protected]; [email protected] and [email protected]
