The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is kicking off this year’s local road shows to promote savings and investment with a fair for Songkhla and nearby provinces. Event-goers are invited to the Investor Zone, under the concept of “Opening the senses to new investment options”, at Money Expo Hatyai 2011. This grand event will be at the Prince of Songkla University International Convention Center (PSUICC) during February 11-13.
In 2011, the SET has planned a series of local road shows to promote savings and investment, Dr. Pakorn Peetathawatchai, SET Chief Marketing Officer, said. These events will take place in Bangkok and upcountry throughout the year, and will provide the public with easy access to information and investment options.
Participants to Money Expo Hatyai 2011 will be introduced to “4 Instant Stock Recipes”, including recommendations on (1) stocks with returns that beat inflation, (2) outstanding foreign-investor-magnet stocks, (3) star stocks to buy in this three-months, and (4) southern star stocks, which are 12 high-growth stocks whose earnings are based in the south.
The information provided under this campaign will help investors conveniently locate the securities in demand without wasting too much time and missing out on profitable moves. There will also be a Derivatives Guide, offering a wealth of information on derivatives, futures, options and gold investment. Visitors will also receive useful investment advice from SET and its affiliated units as well as securities experts. They will also find out about various financial products, including stocks, derivatives, gold futures and mutual funds, and other related services.
Moreover, there will be new and innovative ways to access investment information, including “SET Easy Services”, offering investment information and “Freshy Investment Guide”, lessons on investing in derivative and stocks online “Settrade Steaming via iPhone”, mutual investment planning service, and tax calculation service for LTF-RMF investors. Visitors will also be eligible to take home various premiums and gifts from securities companies and the SET when opening new trade accounts at the event.
More Investor Zone at Money Expo 2011 events have been planned throughout this year, with the next event to be held during May 12-15 at Challenger 2, Impact Muang Thong Thani in Bankgok. Then, August 19-21 will see the next Investor Zone, at The Mall Department Store, Nakhon Ratchasima. The last event of the year will be for November 18-20 at CentralPlaza Chiangmai Airport.
