Starring the gifted Richard Shelton, the musical is set in the renowned ‘Key Club’ in 1959 against a backdrop of Frank Sinatra’s torn relationship with Ava Gardner, and the Kennedy elections. The show recreates a captivating performance of Sinatra giving a concert of a lifetime with 15 of his most cherished songs including ‘Fly me to the moon’, ‘My funny valentine’, and ‘You make me feel so young’.
Awarded best actor in the musical ‘Rat Pack Confidential’ in London’s West End and having sung for the British royal family, Richard Shelton is simply unforgettable as Frank Sinatra. His inspired acting and sparkling renditions of Sinatra’s classics are ably supported by Rebecca Egan who plays love interest, Ava Gardner. A member of The Royal Shakespeare Company, Rebecca is a highly regarded actress who has also appeared on British television in ‘East Enders’, ‘Casualty’, ‘Midsomer Murders’, and much more.
The extraordinary musical is written, produced and directed by Nigel Miles-Thomas whose outstanding theatrical pedigree includes ‘Shirley Valentine’ starring Lorraine Chase, and ‘Shakespeare’s Women’ starring Susannah York, both performed at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s Arts Theatre.
