Bangkok is truly an international city. Fitting, then, that Novotel Bangkok Fenix Ploenchit — indeed located in a stylishly international district — now offers a weekend seafood buffet featuring fresh catches from the world’s many waters.
Starting 18 February, every Friday and Saturday guests of The Square enjoy a fantastic buffet at only THB 880++ for adults, THB 540++ for children ages 5 to 11. And it gets better: The Square offers lovable buffets with options for special wine package at only THB 299 net and THB 199 net for beer from February to April 2011 Seafood highlights on offer include New Zealand mussels, Alaskan king crab and freshly shucked French oysters flown in directly from Paris’s Rungis Market. Other treats include herb-infused rock lobster, tiger prawns, poached blue shell crabs, seafood skewers and pan-seared John Dory with caper sauce.
Not to be missed are the buffet’s special seafood stations featuring dishes like whole roasted salmon in salt crust with mustard dill sauce, while those keen on smoked fish will find a corner dedicated to the delicacy.
The Square’s weekend buffet is not a solely maritime affair, however. Landlubbers can know, for instance, the foie gras station will be creating choice servings of the speciality. Whether diners choose fruits of the sea or yields of the land, a dessert station ends the culinary voyage memorably with temptations such as white chocolate cake as well as macadamia nut and warm melting chocolate tarts.
