The Malaysian based World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, AirAsia X landed at Orly International airport on 14 February 2011, recording over 85% passenger load on the Airbus A340 at 15:40, marking its first flight into Paris, France.
The new service by AirAsia X will offer the people of Paris and its surrounding regions four times weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur, the gateway to South East Asia and beyond. With the commencement of flights to Kuala Lumpur from Paris, guests may hop on to the AirAsia X network onward to Taiwan, China, Australia and New Zealand or within the AirAsia short haul network across South East Asia and beyond.
In celebration of the first flight into Paris, AirAsia X is offering promotional low fares across the AirAsia network. The airline is not just offering guests special fares to Kuala Lumpur from as low as THB 6790 (all in fare) one way from Paris but also unbelievable promotional fares via its new “Fly Thru” services. The new connecting “Fly Thru” services which was recently introduced to facilitate a more convenient transit process for connecting guests across selected destinations on the AirAsia X and AirAsia network via its hub in Kuala Lumpur is also offering promotional connecting fares one way from Paris to to Bangkok, Thailand from ?279* or less than THB 12,000 per way. Guests who opt for this service no longer have to clear immigration in Kuala Lumpur low cost carrier terminal, nor go through the hassle of checking in their luggage twice in order to connect to their onward destinations or worry about transit visa applications. The fares for the above promotion are available online for the booking period from 14 to 20 February, 2011 for the travel period between 1 September to 10 November, 2011.
To add to this low fare promotion, AirAsia X is also offering point to point low fares within the same booking and travel period for those who prefer to travel to Kuala Lumpur and travel hop to an onward destinations later across AirAsia’s network to Thailand (Phuket), Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City), and Cambodia (Phnom Penh). Fares from Kuala Lumpur to the above destinations are offered from as low as ?38* or less than THB 1,600 one way.

The new route will be serviced by the Airbus A340 aircraft with 327 passenger capacity including 18 Premium seats. Guests flying on this new route will have the chance to experience the new comfortable ‘Premium FlatBed seats’ which are standard business class specifications of 20” width, 61” pitch and stretches out to 77” in full recline position. The seats feature universal power sockets, adjustable headrests and built-in personal utilities such as tray table, drink holder, reading light and privacy screen. This new improvement offers unmatched comfort to the guests and position AirAsia as the market leader, further bolstering the brand as the epitome of innovation and excellence.
