The Post Publishing Public Company Limited joins with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Tourism Authority of Thailand organize the ‘Bangkok Post 9Film Fest 2011’, the first-time ever Thailand’s biggest short film competition which offers opportunities to emerging filmmakers. The competition is co-sponsored by Singha Corporation, AIS, Sony, MCOT, SF Cinema under the concept ‘From now on… No.9 will change your life’ and the winners win over 300,000 Baht cash prize.
The 9FilmFest film is special and open to everyone from around the world which no film making background is required. Film must be under nine minutes in length and all entries must contain our 9SI (9 Signature Item), to ensure the films are made for entering our festival. The premiere of the film must be made at Bangkok Post 9FilmFest 2011, the film cannot have any previous public screenings before 9FilmFest. This year, the 9 Signature Item will be the number “9”.
Open for entries now until April 22, 2011, for all interest please download the application form through www.9filmfest.com. Then, 9 finalists will be selected from all entries and compete for prizes. The announcement for 9 entries will be on May 9, 2011. The final competition and award ceremony will be held on May 28, 2011.
