Bangkok--2 Mar--SET
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Krungsri Bank will jointly enhance the personal financial managerial skills and financial product knowledge of all bank branch managers under the Wealth Management @ KRUNGSRI project. This effort will help bank staff to more efficiently cater to customers while expanding the investor base, as was done with other major banks in 2010 under the first four “Wealth Management @ Bank” series of projects.
“As a result of this collaboration, Krungsri’s universal banking services will become even more effective in filling customer needs. Its branches will be centers for investment as well as savings products, offering a full line to its customers”, said SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira.
The SET’s Thailand Securities Institute will train Krungsri’s 500 bank branch managers during July and October 2011.
Mr. Piriyah Wisedjinda, Krungsri’s Head of Distribution, said that the training is a part of the continued development and strengthening of Krungsri’s service. After the training, branch managers will have a more insightful understanding about financial literacy. They will thus be able to help customers invest more prudently than before, using financial alternatives and investment tools learned in the project. They will also be able to apply personal financial management to the lifestyle of each customer, helping them achieve sustained financial stability over the long term and reach their financial objectives. The campaign will create added value for existing customers while expanding the bank’s financial service base and reaching out to new target customers.
“Last year, the SET collaborated with Bangkok Bank PCL, Krung Thai Bank PCL, Thanachart Bank PCL and TMB Bank PCL on this project series. The training has been a great success, with over 2,000 bank branch managers taking part. Krungsri Bank is this year’s first commercial bank to join the project”, SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira concluded.
