Bangkok--4 Mar--Siam Kempinski Hotel Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has appointed Pavita Sae-Chao, or Chef Anne, as Chef de Cuisine at Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, the hotel’s modern Thai restaurant which offers diners a unique combination of authentic Thai flavours and international flair. Chef Anne has been working in the world of fine cuisine for more than 14 years. She served in culinary positions at leading hotels in Bangkok including the Four Seasons before joining the chef’s team at Kittichai restaurant in New York, which is owned by a former Four Seasons’ lead chef, Pongtawat ‘Chef Ian’ Chalermkittichai. One of Chef Anne’s memorable experiences when she was with the Kittichai was appearing on TV in the Iron Chef programme as a member of Chef Ian’s team. There was a moment when the camera captured Chef Anne frying Kratong Tong (golden-fried pastry cups to be filled with meat and vegetables), and after the show there were numerous phone calls from viewers to the restaurant. They wished to know the recipeand the necessary equipment to prepare the dish. Chef Anne was greatly encouraged by this reaction. In her position as Chef de Cuisine, Chef Anne will be responsible for the culinary performance and the quality of the restaurant’s food and beverage operation, ensuring that every dish will fully express the innovative features of their originals at Kiin Kiin in Copenhagen, to surprise and satisfy the popular Bangkok restaurant’s clientele.
