The Confrerie du Sabre d’Or (Brotherhood of the Golden Sabre) is a prestigious association that promotes the art of sabrage and the enjoyment of Champagne, founded in France over 25 years ago, the brotherhood currently boasts 30,000 members with events around the world that celebrate the 200 year old technique of opening chilled Champagne bottlse with a saber, by knocking off the glass collar surrounding the cork.
