Bangkok--17 Mar--PR&Associates Over 80 employees from Amadeus Bangkok office participated in a full-day building project Bangkok, Thailand, 16 March 2010: Employees of Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, came together on Saturday, 12 March 2011 for its “Build to Give” project. From 8am, volunteers helped build and restore four houses in Pathum Thani. The full-day project was undertaken in partnership with Habitat for Humanity who identified local families in need of new homes. With trained builders guiding the way, almost 100 Amadeus employees helped lay foundations, put up walls and paint eaves to provide the much needed help to the families of the small village. “Amadeus has made a long-term commitment to help the needy and less fortunate in our community. By participating in this project, I hope we can make a difference to their lives by creating a brighter future, especially for future generations. We are overwhelmed by the response from our staff this year and look forward to another successful initiative later this year,” said David Brett, President Amadeus Asia Pacific. Build to Give is part of the Amadeus Cares initiative, its community investment programme in Thailand. Launched in November last year, 70 Amadeus employees took part in the Run to Give marathon in Bangkok, raising enough money to buy 10 new computers for a local school in the Isaan region.
