With the aim of fostering a reading culture in Thai society, the Publishers and Booksellers Association of Thailand (PUBAT) is preparing to host the 39th National Book Fair and 9th Bangkok International Book Fair.
Taking ‘Open a Book: Open the World’ as its theme, this year’s event aims to promote reading habits among Thai people, so as to enable them to develop vision and creative thinking. The book fair will embrace myriad titles of premium-quality educational media and books across every imaginable field. Over 2,000 new publications from over 450 leading international and local publishing houses will also be offered at special prices. Visitors to the book fair will also have the chance to join in many edutainment programs and other intellectually-stimulating activities. We hope this will all encourage people of all ages to start reading, learn to love reading, and then continually develop their reading habits.
สมาคมผู้จัดพิมพ์และผู้จำหน่ายหนังสือแห่งประเทศไทย มุ่งสร้างวัฒนธรรมการอ่านในสังคมไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง เตรียมจัดงานสัปดาห์หนังสือแห่งชาติครั้งที่ 39 และสัปดาห์หนังสือนานาชาติ ครั้งที่ 9 เพื่อต้อนรับนักอ่าน
รูปแบบงานในปีนี้จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิด “เปิดหนังสือ คือเปิดโลก” Open a Book: Open the World เพื่อส่งเสริมให้คนไทยมีนิสัยรักการอ่าน เปิดโลกทัศน์ และคิดอย่างสร้างสรรค์ได้จากการอ่าน ภายในงานได้รวบรวมหนังสือดีทุกประเภทและสื่อการศึกษาที่อัดแน่นด้วยคุณภาพมากกว่าล้านชื่อเรื่อง และมีหนังสือใหม่มากกว่า 2,000 เล่ม จากสำนักพิมพ์ชั้นนำกว่า 450 แห่ง ทั้งในและต่างประเทศมาจำหน่ายในราคาพิเศษ พร้อมร่วมสนุกกับกิจกรรมให้สาระความบันเทิงและส่งเสริมการอ่านที่น่าสนใจอีกมากมาย ทั้งหมดนี้เพื่อกระตุ้นให้นักอ่านทุกเพศทุกวัยเริ่มอ่าน รักการอ่าน และพัฒนาการอ่านต่อไปอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง
