As The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) Foundation had approved a donation of JPY 10 million (approx. USD120,000) to help Japan recover from last week’s earthquake and tsunami, today (March 18, 2011) SET and SET Foundation Chairman Sompol Kiatphaibool gave that amount to the Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, who will deliver it to the Japanese Red Cross.
Thailand and Japan have had a long-term alliance with very good relationships. In addition, there has been extensive and close cooperation between the two countries’ stock exchanges; the SET and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
