Citi Thailand supports Japan disaster

Bangkok--21 Mar--PR & Associates Citigroup together with Citibank have established a Disaster Relief Fund benefiting the Japanese Red Cross Society, with an initial contribution of US$1.2 million (39 million baht) from Citi’s Asia Pacific businesses. The Citi Foundation has also pledged US$1.2 million (39 million baht) for disaster relief efforts, raising total donations of US$2.4 million or 78 million baht. Citi Thailand is now supporting the Thai Red Cross Society’s appeal to help Japan by inviting its Citibank Credit Card customers to donate money simply by contacting CitiPhone Banking tel. 0-2788-7808. All donations are eligible for collecting points, as well as receiving a tax deduction. Citi Thailand has also set up a special bank account for its employees to be able to make a donation, and all funds raised will be directed to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
