From March 21 to 24 this year, PTT Group is attending the 25th GASTECH 2011 technical conference and world-class exhibition in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to showcase its readiness to undertake integrated gas businesses at an international forum while exploring opportunities for cooperation with global allies, particularly in the LNG business and the exploration of unconventional natural gas deposits.
Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun, PTT Plc’s President & CEO, said PTT Group—represented by PTT Plc, PTT Exploration and Production Plc, PTT Chemical Plc, PTT LNG Co., Ltd., and PTT International Co., Ltd. — is the sole Thai participant at GASTECH 2011 to display Thailand’s capability of undertaking integrated natural gas businesses as well as its readiness to invest with global allies in LNG business chain development and in exploring for unconventional gas deposits elsewhere to enhance national energy security, including tight gas, shale gas, and coal-bed methane, a key business direction in the international low-carbon economy going forward.
Besides leveraging GASTECH 2011 as a forum for PTT Group to foster relations and share experience in natural gas industrial development with business peers, Mr. Bunsumpun said the event represents an opportunity to reap knowledge of technological breakthroughs, current industry overviews, and the world market outlook — all of which are key to the determination of policies and strategies to further strengthen Thailand’s gas businesses for sustainable national energy security.
