The Japan External Trade Organization or JETRO Bangkok reveals “Invest Japan Symposium — Discover new opportunities in Japan” is very well-received by prospective investors as well as Thai and Japanese governmental agencies in terms of supportive measures to facilitate Thai investment in Japan.
JETRO Bangkok President Munenori Yamada said “Our kick-off for promoting Thai investment in Japan is very well-received by prospective investors as well as public and private agencies in Thailand and Japan.
Firstly, Thai and Japanese governmental agencies are looking to provide more privileges for Thai investors, including tax privileges or support services in terms of free temporary office space in Japan from JETRO’s Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC).
Secondly, Thai and Japanese public and private organizations, under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Vachara Panchet, are formulating Joint Statement and Memorandum of Understanding for tightened business ties.
Thirdly, we are able to present examples of businesses operating successfully in Japan such as COCA restaurant, NaRaYa products and Asia Herb Association spa, and we have earned cooperation from the Market of Alternative Investment (mai), Tokyo AIM, Bangkok Bank and Japan Asia Investment (JAIC) to convey a briefing on fund raising through money market and capital market.
Additionally, there are many Thai companies that express an interest in investing in Japan, judging from the reservation to attend the Invest Japan Symposium that was over-booked by 30% even before reservation deadline.”
“We trust that Thai investment especially in technological development, exploiting Japan as the business platform that connects to the world and utilizing trend-setting benefits of the Japanese market for fashion and lifestyle products, will be in an advantageous position. The Invest Japan symposium serves the purpose of encouraging investment from Thailand in Japan to boost Thai economic growth. The symposium is organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Ministry of Finance, The Office of Thailand Trade Representative of the Kingdom of Thailand (TTR) and supported by The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and The Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC).
