Bangkok--28 Mar--Siemens The Industry Automation & Drive Technologies (IA DT) division of Siemens Ltd. Thailand, a world leading provider of products, systems and solutions in industrial automation, today unveils its demo truck, a mobile technology expo road show, to customers and the public for the first time at Energy Saving 2011, held between March 24th and 26th, 2011 at BITEC, Bangna. This truck road show is the second mobile promotional campaign that Siemens has undertaken in Thailand following the successful ‘Exiderdome’ launch five years ago. The demo truck will showcase the cutting-edge technology of Siemens in the industrial automation field covering the product and system ranges of Totally Integrated Automation (TIA), the ideal integrated solution concept for all types of industries including chemical, petrochemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, glass, steel, paper, crane, automotive, as well as OEM and water. “We would like to provide easy access for our existing and potential customers to visit our expo. The truck will stop at their doors to demonstrate on site Siemens’ latest automation technology as well as our entire portfolio, which can help increase productivity and efficiency of their industrial plants, and create sustainable value for their business with our TIA concept,” said Mr. Ralf Deneke, Senior Vice President and Head of IA DT, Siemens Ltd. Thailand. The truck will be on the roads in Thailand for two years to visit customers’ sites countrywide, and will be on tour across the ASEAN countries afterwards. Mr. Deneke added, “Siemens as a global leader in automation and drive technologies has put our utmost effort into this comprehensive marketing platform to reaffirm our commitment to the Thai market. With this truck road-show concept, we aim to be as close to our customers as possible to provide products and solutions tailored to meet their diverse and specific requirements”. More than 5,000 existing and potential customers, ranging from plant engineers to top executives of major relevant industries, are expected to visit this truck mobile expo, which can accommodate up to 15 visitors per tour in this fiscal year (ends on September 30th, 2011). The roadshow tour to Siemens’ customer sites will start in May in Rayong. Siemens has been arranging a similar mobile road-show concept and world tour since 2002 to lead trends and to show the company’s vision for the automation world. It had remarkable success in holding the ‘Exider Train’, the moving train-concept road-show covering 70,000 kilometers of track which called on 112 cities in 24 countries, and attracted over 150,000 visitors when the tour ended in August 2004.
