Amata B.Grimm Power Group is developing 2 Combined Cycle Cogeneration Plants located in Amata City Industrial Estate, Rayong, Thailand. Total capacity is approximately 240MW. Each plant will supply 90 MW of electricity to EGAT under a 25-year Small Power Producer (SPP) power purchase agreement. The remaining capacity and 30 t/h of steam of each plant will be sold to numerous Industrial Users (IU) within the industrial estate. The power plants are scheduled to be on Commercial Operation on 1 June 2013 and 1 November 2013, respectively.
Each plant shall consist of two latest low emission SGT-800 Gas Turbine Generator Packages from Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB of Sweden, two ‘Vogt’ Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and one ‘Siemens’ Steam Turbine Generator (STG) with water cooled condenser utilizing open loop forced draft ‘Hamon’ cooling tower. The 10-billion-baht, state-of-the-art power plants will be constructed by TPSC (Thailand) which is the affiliate of Toshiba Plant Systems and Services Corporation, Japan.
The plants will be the first 2 SPP projects of Amata B.Grimm Power Group in Amata City Industrial Estate. The Amata B.Grimm Power Group plan to further develop 3 more power plants in this industrial estate.
The signing ceremony between Amata B.Grimm Power Group’s Chairman Mr.Harald Link and its President Ms.Preeyanart Soontornwata together with Mr.Atsuhiko Izumi, Toshiba Plant Systems and Services Corporation (TPSC)’s Executive Vice President and Director for the construction was recently held at the Pinnacle 3, Intercontinental Hotel Bangkok.
