Jetstar set to be first Australian airline to offer PayPal online payment option

Bangkok--31 Mar--Aziam Burson-Marsteller Low fares leader Jetstar is finalising an agreement with PayPal, which would see it be the first airline in Australia to offer its customers the option of purchasing with PayPal for bookings made via Jetstar.com. The collaboration would give millions of Jetstar customers and 3.6 million Australian active PayPal account holders the choice to pay from their savings, cheque, debit or credit card accounts when purchasing a fare from point-of-sale Australia with Jetstar. Jetstar Chief Commercial Officer David Koczkar said the proposed new partnership would provide Jetstar customers with an additional fresh, fast and convenient payment method via Jetstar’s award winning website, Jetstar.com “Along with our commitment to offer our customers every day low fares, Jetstar is constantly looking for innovative ways to make online bookings on Jetstar.com more convenient,” Mr Koczkar said. “Our airline group remains consistent in being a long time industry leader in providing greater choice and convenience to air travellers when purchasing their flights online.” PayPal Managing Director, Frerk-Malte Feller said, “When customers turn to the web to book their holidays they are seeking fast, convenient and transparent experiences.
