Bangkok--7 Apr--A Royal Meridien Hotel With the hottest days of summer upon us and the annual splash fest of Songkran, Thai New Year, Smooth Curry at Plaza Ath้n้e Bangkok, a Royal M้ridien Hotel, present the indispensable traditional culinary accompaniment to the season noted for its cooling charms, Khao Chae. The distinctive Thai contemporary restaurant, respectively, offer lavish interpretations of the established favourite Thai dish of the hot season using the freshest ingredients and generations-old recipes enhanced with a refreshing spark of originality. At the centre of the presentation is delicately steamed jasmine rice served in chilled jasmine water with assorted condiments, some traditional, some more creative. Established favourites range from fried minced shrimp paste to deep-fried sweet pork to stirred salted Chinese radish. Specially created must-tries include savoury stuffed shallots and peppers, deep fried sweet Riw Kiw fish, and deep fried salty mackerel with fresh vegetables.
