Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has appointed Mr. Ekamol Kiriwat as a new director, effective 5 April 2011. Mr. Ekamol will replace Mr. John William Hancock, whose tenure has expired.
Mr. Ekamol Kiriwat is currently the Chairman of KC Property Plc. He was a veteran executive at the Bank of Thailand, acting as Deputy Governor, Assistant Governor, and Director supervising the International Strategy Office and Financial Institution Application and Examination Department. He also served as Secretary-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission. His valuable experience will contribute greatly to the performance of the SCB Board of Directors.
Mr. Ekamol Kiriwat holds a Bachelor's degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Economics from Dartmouth College and a Master's degree in Finance from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
