In addition, LG’s SMART TV feature helps consumers connect to the online world and offers more new premium local content for Thai users.
LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Thailand’s first leader in the SMART TV market, has arranged ‘The Next Generation 3D TV’ launch event to introduce a new era of 3D TV with its LG CINEMA 3D TV. With CINEMA 3D technology, it takes the 3D experience to a new level, featuring crisp images for the best 3D quality, longer view and clearer wide-angle viewing without Flicker Free. A best-in-the-industry 2D to 3D conversion feature gives viewers access to limitless 3D content at any time, and lightweight, affordable 3D glasses make for an easier, more enjoyable experience. In addition, LG’s SMART TV feature helps consumers connect to the online world and offers more new premium local content for Thai users.
Mr. Jin Hak (Jeff) Cheh, Managing Director of LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said “LG is the world’s leading home entertainment manufacturer, and prides itself on offering the latest, most advanced and most reliable home entertainment devices that deliver the perfect mix of smart technology and stylish design. As the world’s first brand to develop the CINEMA 3D TV, LG is taking the viewing experience to new heights, by offering the most comfortable 3D viewing experience. LG’s CINEMA 3D TV also includes other unique features that perfectly match the lifestyles of Thai consumers, so we strongly believe that our CINEMA 3D TV will be widely accepted by Thai consumers.”
The LG CINEMA 3D TV features an innovative Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) technology, which optimizes the separation of images, producing better 3D effects with minimal cross-talk. In addition, LG’s 3D Light Boost creates bright, crisp images for a superior 3D viewing experience by counteracting any dimness that can occur with 3D content. LG has also developed highly affordable and lightweight 3D glasses, which do not have a battery and never need charging. Since the glasses do not need to sync with an emitter, viewers can watch from nearly any angle in the room, even when lying down in front of the TV. The LG CINEMA 3D TV features a best-in-the-industry 2D to 3D conversion feature, giving viewers access to limitless 3D content at any time. LG also provides the most convenience to users with its Magic Motion Remote Control.
LG is Thailand’s first brand to enhance the SMART TV experience by offering premium local content to Thai consumers, and the LG CINEMA 3D TV includes LG’s SMART TV feature to connect to content developed by Nation Channel and MTHAI. This year LG has introduced more content incorporating Wikalenda, Shoppening, and Major Cineplex.
Mr. Chanchai Bhandhufalck, Product Group Head, Home Entertainment of LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said “This year, LG has allocated 300 million baht to our overall TV marketing budget, with 150 million baht dedicated to the LG CINEMA 3D TV. This will cover marketing initiatives including above-the-line, below-the line, and online activities. LG is also partnering with Major Cineplex to run a road show. These initiatives will ensure that we will achieve a 25 per cent share of Thailand’s overall TV market based on value, and revenue of 9 billion baht by the end of this year. For the LED & LCD TV market specifically, we aim to achieve 25 per cent market share and revenue of 6.2 billion baht.”
The LG CINEMA 3D TV range comprises 5 screen sizes — 32, 42, 47, 55, 65-inch - and the retail price ranges from 22,990 - 299,990 baht. For further details, please call the LG Call Center on 0-2878-5757 or toll-free number 1-800-545454 or visit www.lg.com/th
