Mr. Christophe L.M. Caron, Vice President of Sofitel South East Asia & India and General Manager of Sofitel Bangkok Silom, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jeremy Torret as Executive Sous Chef and V9 Wine and Dining Chef.
At just 29 years of age, the native Frenchman already has an outstanding career culinary pedigree.
After receiving his Kitchen Certificate for Professionalism Aptitude, Jeremy apprenticed with the renowned, Bernard Loiseau, one of the most distinguished 3 Michelin stars chefs and an Ambassador of French Gastronomy. Jeremy also mastered the art of pastry and desserts at Loiseau’s restaurant, Chez Tante Louise.
Further experience was gained as a Commis Chef at the 3 Michelin stars restaurant, Le Bristol. Jeremy’s skills and a desire for new challenges then led him to the 2 Michelin stars restaurants, Parc des Eaux Vives in Geneva, Switzerland and La Reserve in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France where he worked as Chef de Partie, followed by a period working at the 3 Michelin star restaurant of Daniel Boulud in Manathan, New York, USA.
Prior to this appointment, the talented and ambitious Jeremy became Sous Chef at the French restaurant Traiteur at the Park Hyatt in Dubai, U.A.E.
Now Jeremy looks forward to bringing his distinctive touch to V9 Wine and Dining at Sofitel Bangkok Silom. Over the coming months, he will introduce diners to many new and enticing dishes. With Chef Jeremy in the kitchen, guests at the chic restaurant and wine lounge can expect many memorable dining experiences to come.
