Identify’s RFID Fleet Management Solution Received Domestic and International Recognitions

Bangkok--28 Apr--ID Being an implementer for RFID fleet management solution, Identify has been recognized as an outstanding Thai vendor in Thailand ICT excellence award 2009 in the area of innovation implementation. Furthermore, this solution is the only one solution from Thailand has been nominated for “Most Innovative RFID Solution” in RFID World Asia Award 2011. Identify’s RFID fleet management solution is particularly designed to increase the efficiency and accuracy for the delivery of bulk product. It is integrated with multiple software applications, covering weighting program linking with weighbridge, truck management system, and SAP application. For the delivery of bulk product, truck weighting is the starting point for the whole transportation. Any mistakes on this step will result in the error for the whole chain. With Identify’s solution, each truck is permanently attached with a RFID tag and its unique ID is linked to back-end data base. A RFID reader is installed at the weighbridge. A RFID weighing program interfacing with TMS, SAP and a RFID reader is installed at weight station PC. With the RFID tag on individual truck, manual checking for individual truck is eliminated. Plate number is displayed automatically on the PC when a truck approaches to the weighbridge at the reading distance. This automate operation can reduce the risk for the data entry error or fraudulent data. Integrating with truck management system, manual shipping document verification can be ignored. When the staff keys the shipping document of an individual truck into the weight program, the verification process will be processed automatically. The scale measures the pre-weight, which is linked with the RFID tag in truck and associated vehicle data in the back-end system. When the truck returns for post-load, its plate number again displays on the program without human intervention. The worker enters the post-load weight into the program. Upon completing each transaction, the information will store into the center back-end system. This solution can reduce the operation time at weight station by 50%. Besides the front end operation, the task on keying shipping document, delivery note, and invoices for billing at back end office can be totally eliminated therefore the payment system can be faster. Because of data integration, the visibility in the chain is increased. The fleet management company can increase the utilization on its trucks from 7 days per round trip to 4 days per round trip. Additionally, product owner can know the quantity of his product in the yard in the real time manner, without waiting for the manual data entry as before.
