DHL seals leading market position with three prestigious industry wins across all its businesses
DHL, the world’s leading logistics company, swept three prestigious awards at the 25th anniversary of the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) in Singapore last night. The ceremony saw DHL presented with Best 3PL, Best Logistics Provider Project Cargo and Best Express Operator awards.
The accolades won across all of its business units recognize DHL’s long-standing expertise in integrated logistics, particularly through its well-established express, air and ocean freight forwarding and supply chain operations.
On being named the Best Express Operator title for the 24th year since the inception of the AFSCA award, Chris Bresnahan, Head of Network Operations, DHLE Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets (APEM) said: “The award is a testament to the strength of our robust international network which spans 220 countries and territories. DHL’s swiftly-growing Industrial Projects business was also recognized with the Best Logistics Provider Project Cargo award. The sector, which deals with the transportation of oversized items, has seen strong growth as governments and the private sector in Asia continue to invest in key infrastructural projects and growth sectors like Oil and Energy and telecommunications.

DHL Supply Chain was also recognized with the Best 3PL award for supply chain excellence. The AFSCA awards are organized by Cargonews Asia to honor outstanding shippers, logistics providers and cargo transport companies. More than 12,000 Cargonews Asia readers were polled to select the best service providers in over 40 industry specific categories. AFSCA is considered to be one of the industry’s foremost accolades as it is the only Asian freight awards to rely solely on customer satisfaction to determine its winners.
