Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) has been selected as the venue for hosting Thailand’s five core industries events under the campaign “Better the Best” of Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). These events are certified as International Trade Shows according to the standard of UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), which position Thailand as the premium hub of ASEAN Trade Fair.
Mr. Sarnit Karunyavanij, Business Development Director of Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre said “BITEC is proud to be part of those successful events under the campaign “Better the Best” which are chosen by Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau or TCEB. All of those events are held at BITEC including VIV Asia, Bangkok International Gift Fair & Bangkok International Houseware Fair (BIG+BIH), Renewable Energy Asia, METALEX and ProPak Asia”.
“The upcoming event is ProPak Asia 2011 which will be held during June 15-18, 2011. This event is a regional trade show in Asia which was selected as one of Thailand’s five core industries that have extremely high potential of growth. It is expected to have more than 32,500 visitors as well as 10 national pavilions, exhibitors from over 40 countries and distributors around the world. The exhibition will bring in innovations of packaging solution, food, drink and pharmaceuticals processing industry in Asia to Thailand,” revealed Mr. Sarnit
The current “Better the Best” project is in it’s the second year and is one fine example of the proactive strategies of Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). The campaign selects the best international fairs in Thailand and focuses on the development of the industry through the trade exhibition platform. In the recent years, these events have contributed an economic impact of more than 73,000 million baht for Thailand.
