Bangkok--10 May--Total Quality PR Airbus, the leading aircraft manufacturer, recently participated and was a sponsor at the 66th annual meeting of the International Federation of Airline Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA), which was held this year in Chiang Mai. IFALPA is a non-political, non-profit making organization representing over 100,000 airline pilots from around the world, with the role to act as the “Global Voice of Airline Pilots” at all major aviation forums, with priority concern for safety. This year’s conference was once again a strong success, with Thailand and the northern capital shining as host. Airbus recognizes the importance of Thailand as an aviation hub of Southeast Asia and like IFALPA, it primary concern is for the aircraft safety, and it has a demonstrated long term commitment to provide support to ensure that. THAI Airways International Pilots Association was also a sponsor of this year’s conference, as it looked to celebrate H. M the King's 84th Birthday in the year 2011 by commemorating HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn’s work and dedication to the Kingdom, and its aviation industry. Furthermore, this year marks the 100th Anniversary of aviation in the Kingdom of Thailand. In 1911 “Wanda” the Henri Farman IV plane, took to the skies over the Kingdom of Thailand.
