The Delegation of the European Union to Thailand, the Mission of Thailand to the European Union, the Department of Internal Trade of Ministry of Commerce, and Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Law are inviting Thai business owners to join the seminar on "European Union Competition Law for Thai Business."
This EU-funded event will take place at the Ballroom of Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Hotel (Asoke) in Bangkok on 25 May 2011 from 09:00h to 16:00h. Thai translation services will be provided; attendance is free of charge.
The seminar will present structure and applications of the EU competition law as well as highlighting its impact on Thai businesses while also providing business operators with recommendations on how to deal with the EU anti-competitive practices. It will feature presentations from two of the European Union's foremost experts on competition law: Dr. Kirtikumar Mehta, former Director of the European Commission's Anti-Cartels Enforcement Department; and Professor Alberto Heimler of the Italian School of Public Administration, former Director for Research and International Affairs at the Italian Competition Authority.
