Bangkok--10 May--The Montien Hotel Bangkok
When it comes to lunch, the Ruenton has one of the best reputations in Bangkok. Stir-fried Serpent-Head Fish with Green Peppercorns and Chilli ( Baht 250++) is a real winner, or opt for a traditional midday favourite dish of noodles — Noodle Soup with Shrimp Balls, Bean-Curd and Minced Pork ( Baht 150++ ), perhaps, or Noodle Soup with Pork Liver, Minced Pork and Fish Balls( Baht 160++ ).
Both are outstanding. But be sure to leave room for the ace dessert, Sticky Rice with Durian in Sweet Coconut Milk ( Baht 130++ ). It’s stunning.
