On Thursday May 19, 2011, BarSu and the Global Premium Wine Company invite you to discover the highly praised Cono Sur wines from Chile. A selection of outstanding wines will be complimented by enticing wapas dishes created especially for the occasion by BarSu’s inspired chefs.

The relaxed evening at BarSu will start with a welcome drink of Mont Clair Sparkling Brut 2009 served with rock melon wrapped with Parma ham. The first of four Cono Sur wines will be the Cono Sur Sauvignon Blanc 2009 accompanied by marinated sea bass carpaccio with a citrus and fennel salad. The ripe and fruity Sauvignon Blanc from Chile's sun-soaked Central Valley is packed with flavours of fresh apricot, pineapple and zesty passion-fruit and is the perfect pairing for the deliciously fresh sea bass.
The second wine, a crisp light-yellow Cono Sur Tocornal Chardonnay 2010 will be served with stack tapas of turkey and fava beans, Gruyere cheese and onion marmalade. To follow, the deep ruby red Cono Sur Tocornal Merlot 2009 with its aroma of cherries, ripe pepper and soft cacao will be matched with crispy pork belly with pumpkin pur?e, wild mushrooms ? la grecque and a Merlot reduction.
Guests will also enjoy Cono Sur Tocornal Cabernet Sauvignon 2009, an elegant and well-structured red with pleasant notes of plum, raspberry, and subtle notes of vanilla to accompany the tasty tuna Palermo with rock salt and a Cabernet reduction.
