From 9-11 May 2011 Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) conducts cabin interior design competition, under the theme “Thai Contemporary Style” design concept, with five cabin interior design firms presenting their design concepts.
Three firms from the United Kingdom were Acumen & Honour, Priestman Goode, and James Park Associates (JPA). Also presenting their creative work are Swiss designer Design Investment Sarl and Japanese design firm from Tokyo LIFT Strategic Design.
Assessing the design concepts of each of the competing firms on Monday, 9 May, were members of the THAI Board, Management, and selection committee. Also supporting THAI in assessing the creative concepts were Thailand’s top interior designers invited by THAI as honorary consultants and advisors - M.L. Sudavadee Kriangkrai, Managing Director, Chujak Interior Design and Construction Ltd., M.R. Powari Suchiva, Managing Director, Powarint Ltd., Ms. Rujiraporn Wanglee, Managing Director, P Interior Associates Ltd. and Associated Professor Piyanan Prasarnrakit, Colour Design Consultant TOA Paint Co., LTD. The winning firm will be announced at the end of May 2011.
