Having been elected chairman of Services Development for Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), effective April 5, 2011, Ms. ChooLeng Goh, General Manager of Plaza Athenee Bangkok, A Royal Meridien Hotel, is now preparing to host the TICA subcommittee’s first meeting of 2011, which will be held at the central Bangkok hotel she manages.
As the new chairman of Services Development, Ms. ChooLeng is responsible for building and training the TICA membership and developing and promoting the Thai MICE industry, both domestically and through international marketing.
On the meeting agenda, the team discussed about the subcommittee’s plans, strategies and goals under the new chairmanship as well as preparations for the upcoming “ IT & CMA 2011 — IMEX-MPI-IT&CMA Future Leaders Forum” (October 4-5, 2011) and “The 17th Convention Promotion Seminar & Convex 2011 (CPS)” (date) forums sponsored by TICA. The meeting will also review TICA’s training programs for 2011.
TICA’s latest election process to select its Board of Directors and three Sub-Committee chairmen for Marketing, Community & PR, and Services Development began on March 31, 2011. The organization elects new committees every two years and, as such, Ms. ChooLeng will hold the Services Development chair until April 2013.
In all TICA comprises 300 member businesses associated with the incentives and conventions industry.
