Saturday in Design demonstrates a totally unique concept for architecture and design expos where the show lands literally on the doorsteps of local designers and retailers. The event was created to bring clients and suppliers together in a way that traditional trade hall expos cannot, and will run for a single day on the 21 May 2011.
The streets of Singapore will play host to this highly popular international design show which will allow designers to seek out the latest products and trends. Retailers will have the opportunity to appeal directly to architects and designers from their own showroom in their own unique way. Local retailers displaying their wares will include Minotti, Missoni Home and Air Division, and they will be joined by global design icons like Smeg and Walter Knoll. Complimentary shuttle busses will link the various design outlets around the city, making it easy for everyone to explore Singapore, which itself is a cutting-edge mecca for design.
Originating in Sydney in 2003, Saturday in Design has grown to become one of the international design community’s most exciting diary dates. Showcasing top-drawer products from the industry’s hottest designers, Saturday in Design seeks to inspire the continuous innovation and evolution of the design world by putting new artistic tools in the hands of pioneering design artisans.
