Bangkok--19 May--Tesco Lotus Jasmine rice, cooking oil, big dairy brands and favourite products are up to 27% cheaper than regular daily prices, and are guaranteed to offer the cheapest prices everyday Tesco Lotus continues to reinforce its price innovation campaign by helping customers get more value for money in the current economy, with inflation currently running at 4 percent. The second Roll Back campaign of the year aims to help Thai families save even more on the products they regularly consume and spend less on their favourite everyday big name brands. From now until 13 July, Tesco Lotus will once again roll back prices on more than 300 high-turnover products such as jasmine rice, cooking oil, carbonated soft drinks, fish sauce, coffee, instant noodles, chocolate drinks, fruit juice, detergent and pet foods. For the first time ever, imported red grapes will be reduced, as well as prices of top brands such as Coke, Nescafe and Ovaltine. Jasmine rice will continue to be a mainstay of the Roll Back campaign, with prices reduced by 27%. Prices of Ovaltine, Thai Danish, and Dutch Mill, important for school age children, will be reduced by up to 15%. Roll Back has kept prices low for Thai families for nine consecutive years, with more than 2,500 million baht invested to date. This year’s second Roll Back is part of the 800 million baht budgeted for price promotion investment. Roll Back products have been carefully selected from the spending of Clubcard members, with data collected from over 35 million transactions every month.
