U.S.A., May 18th 2011 - Bank of America has appointed Morgan Stanley's David Reilly as chief technology officer for its global wealth and investment management unit.
Reporting to BofA CTO Marc Gordon, Reilly will lead a team supporting strategy, architecture, design and build, operations, engagement and product delivery of technology infrastructure at the business.
Joining next month, he will also serve as the company's shared technology infrastructure executive, accountable for designing, building and operating enterprise technology infrastructure and operations.
Reily is joining from Morgan Stanley, where he was the chief information officer for enterprise infrastructure. Prior to that, he was responsible for technology infrastructure services at Credit Suisse and has also held tech roles at Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch.
Commenting on the new man, Gordon says: "His breadth and depth of experience in technology infrastructure, coupled with his extensive business experience and strong track record of performance, will enable our team to work even more closely with our technology and business partners to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and clients across the globe."
