Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) organised the activity “BITEC creates hobbies for kids at Ban Tawan Mai” to support leisure time to acquire skills for kids and youths at Ban Tawan Mai Foundation, Samutprakarn Province.
Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) one of supporting organizations for Home of Narcotics Control Foundation (NCF) or Ban Tawan Mai Foundation, recently organised the activity “BITEC creates hobbies for kids at Ban Tawan Mai” to support leisure time to acquire skills for kids and youths. In the activity, BITEC professional staff have demonstrated and set a workshop including Flower Decoration, Sandwich Cooking and Art from paper napkin at Ban Tawan Mai Foundation, Samutprakarn Province.
Home of Narcotics Control Foundation (NCF) or Ban Tawan Mai Foundation is located at Klong Suan Sub-district, Bangbor District, Samutprakarn Province. This place is take care and look after kids and youths both male and female from age 7 to 18 years, due to whose parents are drugs addicts or in prison, broken homes or abandoned and risk of addiction. There are stay in homes about 150 people and still study in elementary school through vocational certificate or undergraduate.
“BITEC is very pleased to organise the activity “BITEC creates hobbies for kids at Ban Tawan Mai” because we realize the importance of vocational skill to kids and youths. Moreover, we invite the teacher who has knowledge of art as well as professional staff who are employee in Food & Beverage and Floral Design departments of BITEC to demonstrate and set a workshop that encourage kids and youths for spending in free time to acquire.” Ms. Panittha Buri, Director of Marketing & Sales of BITEC said.
There are three workshops consisted of; Art from paper napkin for kids aged from 7 to 10 years to use basic materials such as paper napkin to make a small art piece. Flower Decoration for youths aged 11 years up with a simple technique. Tuna Sandwich Cooking for youths aged 11 years up to find an easy ingredients and cook for delicious dish. In addition, BITEC offers lunch for them on that day.
“We hope this activity will help children to learn and acquire skills which they can adopt for their furter career.” Ms. Panittha concluded.
