Background
The European Commission is organising a training workshop for officials from ASEAN countries on Food Safety Crisis Management in Bangkok on 24-26 May 2011.
This workshop is part of the Better Training for Safer Food programme on EU Food Rules and Food Import Requirements. Workshops within this programme cover a wide range of issues such as EU standards for fruits, vegetables and fishery products, Hygiene and controls for products of animal origin, legislation on labelling and traceability, plant health and residue monitoring plans, contaminants, animal health, plant health and animal welfare. The programme also comprises training missions in countries exporting food products to the EU to improve the safety of food stuffs.
