Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of the DocuPrint CM305 df — A4 multifunction colour laser printers designed for small and medium businesses (SMBs) that require an efficient quality printer offering value for money. The DocuPrint CM305 df empowers small office workgroups of up to ten people with outstanding productivity features.

Compact Printers Delivering Big Results
The new network-ready DocuPrint CM305 df is compact in design yet capable of producing high-quality print results with ease. Producing up to 23 pages per minute in colour or monochrome, the DocuPrint CM305 df is packed with features to ensure the printing needs of any SMB runs smoothly. Images are printed in high 600 x 600dpi for laser sharp results and advanced technologies such as Natural Image Enhancement (NIE) correct the contrast and colour balance of images, ensuring brilliant colour output.
Ensuring high quality results, Dimensional Accurate Colour Mapping intelligently ensures that documents are printed in optimum colours while Direct Transfer Technology gives better registration to improve colour sharpness.
Fuji Xerox’s exclusive EA-HG Toner (Emulsion Aggregation) Toner has been incorporated in the new DocuPrint CM305 df. Unlike conventional toner, EA-HG Toner is prepared by Emulsion Aggregation, a chemical process used to create small uniform particle sizes of toner. With smaller toner particles, copies and prints can be created using less toner on the paper and produce finer lines yielding a higher quality appearance. EA-HG Toner is also less energy intensive and features a lightweight fuser which allows the heat from the internal lamp to reach the heat roll surface very quickly — enabling almost instant warm up time. There is also a Run Black function to continue printing jobs in black when colour toners run out.
For offices printing high volumes, an additional 250-sheet tray can be added to the DocuPrint CM305 df for a larger paper capacity to maximise print efficiency, reducing the frequency of reloading paper or higher flexibility of having multiple types of paper in the printer. Users will also benefit from the option of having multiple paper types available simultaneously in different trays, such as letterhead or coloured paper.
Security Conscious and Reliable
Offering unparalleled ease-of-use and reliability, the DocuPrint CM305 df features security technologies to give users greater peace of mind. To protect sensitive information such as financial or employee records, the DocuPrint CM305 df encrypts data sent over networks using SSL and Ipsec data encryption. The user-friendly control panel lock lets business owners limit user access via password protection, while the IP Filter limits printer access to registered IP addresses. Additionally, Secure Print and Secure Fax Receive functions enable SMBs to set password protection on prints and faxes so that they are only printed when a password is entered to protect sensitive data.
In addition, Fuji Xerox's "Auditron" technology allows business owners to restrict print settings for varied registered users, making print management easier and preventing the unauthorised duplication of sensitive documents.
For added convenience, the multifunction DocuPrint CM305 df features a Remote Printer Monitor, automatically displaying the status of print jobs so users can keep track of printing without actually walking to the machine. CentreWare IS allows administrators to configure and monitor printer status via the internet.
Efficient Management for Better Workflow
The ability to perform multiple document functions from a single device is ideal for SMBs as it reduces the need to purchase different machines, provides value for money and enhances productivity. The multifunction DocuPrint CM305 df combines copy, print and scan functions all in one printer — saving office space and reducing power consumption.
The DocuPrint CM305 df enables users to quickly and conveniently copy documents with ease, including enlargements and reductions from 25 to 400 percent. There is also an automated ID Copy feature to copy two sides of a small document on the same side of an A4 page.
High quality scanning of up to 9600 dpi is simple to use and to improve document flow, scans can be saved directly onto a USB storage device, an FTP server or a network folder. The Scan to Email function does not require a PC and works by simply by entering an email address.
The fax function works at a speed of 33.6kps and the capacity to store 200 speed dials means this function enables quick, convenient sending. For added convenience, the Direct Fax function allows users to send a fax directly from a computer. Sending faxes to multiple recipients is also possible with the group dial function. To further enhance productivity, the DocuPrint CM305 df comes with DocuWorks 7.0 Special Edition document management software — an intuitive document handling solution that enables the seamless integration of electronic documents created by various applications and paper documents imported from scanners.
Low Environmental Impact
The DocuPrint C305 df meet stringent Energy Star? compliance requirements for reduced power consumption and energy usage. When not in use, the DocuPrint C305 df automatically goes into low power mode to save energy. Other environmentally-friendly features include automatic double-sided printing to reduce paper use. Toner fusion in traditional laser printers is an extremely power-intensive process, accounting for 50 to 80 percent of total power consumed. EA-HG Toner works at a lower fusing temperature by more than 20 percent compared with conventional toner, therefore reducing the amount of energy consumed.
