The Regent’s Schools in Pattaya by Ms.Kwanshanok Techavijit ,Executive Director, Mr.Mike Walton, Principal (middle of the top row), and primary students welcomed the children’s visit from The Croston House Children’s Home (Thailand), Lamphun province; led by Mr.Glenn Croston , Director. To make this trip possible, the primary students of The Regent’s School raised money to organize the trip to provide more life skills and valuable experience for the children from the north of Thailand. The children have had a wonderful time. The best bit of the trip was being in classes in The Regent’s School and they also saw the sea for the first time and went to the zoo.
Prior to the trip , The Regent’s School organized a Croston Charity Walk and Fun Run which help raise funds for them to build a house in Lamphunn early this academic year, also we arranged and brought many Round Square schools up to Lamphun during the 2010 Round Square International Conference to do community service there. With our strong relationship with Croston House; the latest trip was planned and arranged by several children in Year 6 of The Regent’s School raising money through a disco to pay for transport, accommodation, and the Zoo trip, and they volunteered as hosts, demonstrating brilliant leadership, organization and selflessness, well done! In addition, a non-uniform day was held at the end of April 2011 and 9,000 Baht was raised to buy food and drinks, toiletries, cleaning materials, games, toys, clothing, bedding and stationary which were lost after a devastating fire at the Croston House before Songkran 2011.
