Bangkok--30 May--Aziam Burson-Marsteller
With this morning’s announcement by Microsoft on its next release of Windows Phone, I wanted to let you know that Microsoft has chosen Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile processor to power a new generation of Windows Phone devices. Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor enhances mobility for consumers worldwide through its combination of mobile processing performance, powerful multimedia, wireless connectivity, efficient power consumption and intelligently optimized chip system software. In close coordination with Microsoft, we’re excited to bring a new generation of Windows Phone handsets exclusively featuring Qualcomm’s second generation Snapdragon mobile processors to market.
If you're interested in speaking with a Qualcomm executive about the Company’s partnership with Microsoft, we'd be happy to set something up. I've also included a quote below that can be attributed to Steve Mollenkopf, executive vice president and group president of Qualcomm:
“Qualcomm has a long history of working closely with Microsoft and we continue to support the launches of new Windows Phones based on our Snapdragon processors. We are excited about this next Windows Phone Mango release that will leverage the synergy of our highly integrated second generation Snapdragon solution and Microsoft's Windows Phone software," said Steve Mollenkopf, executive vice president and group president of Qualcomm.
