Gavin Sachouda Murugan, appointed Resort Manager at the Thanyamundra Organic Resort in Khao Lak.
The visionary Phuket-based Thanyapura hospitality company has announced appointments to three key managerial roles as it rapidly heads towards becoming fully operational.
Joining the professional team at its groundbreaking five-star Thanyamundra Organic Resort — the inaugural organic and sustainable boutique resort in southern Thailand — is Resort Manager Gavin Sachouda Murugan. Elsewhere, Napapen Kridakorn (May) has been appointed Sales Manager — National across Thanyapura’s three accommodation sites and Padmini Mangunta as the group’s Online Communications Director.
Thanyapura’s philosophy promotes a healthy lifestyle with balanced and creative thinking and the group’s progressive venture comprises the unique, state-of-the-art Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Club — Phuket (TSLC), the Thanyapura Mind Centre (TMC), Thanyamundra Organic Resort, plus a four-star resort, a three-star retreat, organic restaurants, an organic farm and cooking school. All the group’s facilities are positioned towards both holidaymakers and business audiences, as well as the local community, who are attracted to a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle.

Mr Murugan comes to Thanyamundra Organic Resort from his 14 years with One&Only Luxury Resorts where he more recently occupied the positions of Executive Head Butler and Director of Butler Services.
As well as his role of manager at Thanyamundra, which is located against the stunning backdrop of Khao Sok National Park, just two hour’s drive north of Phuket International Airport, Mr Murugan takes on the integral role of Director for Quality Assurance for the Thanyapura Group.
Thanyapura’s appointment of Ms Kridakorn to Sales Manager — National, will see her heading up domestic sales for the TSLC and Day School in Phuket as well as at Thanyamundra Organic Resort.
A Thai native, Ms Kridakorn brings with her vast experience from her most recent role at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok where she directed governmental affairs and social protocol, developing important service relations with VIP guests from royalty to government and embassy officials. She embarked on her career after studying hotel management in Switzerland at C?sar Ritz, and held similar key roles at Bangkok’s Hotel Plaza Athen?e and the Nai Lert Park.
As Thanyapura’s Online Communications Director, Ms Mangunta comes to the group from her role as a producer and an editor with NBC Universal and iVillage.com. Her role at Thanyapura is crucial in terms of conveying the group’s vision across the web and social media platforms, as well as attracting guests to its numerous first-rate amenities.
Thanyapura has already successfully positioned itself as a leading player in the hospitality industry, thanks to the recent grand opening of the pioneering Thanyamundra Organic Resort, while the TSLC is an unrivalled facility in Phuket, as the only premium sports training facilities complemented by an extensive range of leisure elements.
The group’s two Phuket-based properties include the three-star, 38-room Thanyapura Retreat, which forms part of the TMC, and the four-star, 77-room Thanyapura Resort, adjacent to the TSLC, which is scheduled to open at the end of this year.
