Bangkok--15 Jun--IMPACT Exhibition Management IMPACT focuses on three strategies to drive sales and teams up with TCEB to attract overseas exhibitions and conferences, especially medical, organization and association sectors. For the domestic market, the co-location of hotel stands out as a competitive advantage attracting more conferences and seminars hosted by government and private sectors. New source of revenues will be local and international concerts. The revenue projection for year 2011 is two billion baht. Mr. Paul Kanjanapas, Managing Director, Impact Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. (the operator of IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center), remarked “For the fiscal year 2011 (April 2011 - March 2012), IMPACT will give the highest priority to developing facilities and services to accommodate the business growth and diverse customer requirements such as renovation of conference center, the construction of new parking building (near the former 10th Building) which is on process and the official opening of Hotel Novotel Bangkok IMPACT.“ Added Mr. Paul, “Moreover, the diverse range of sales promotional strategies to serve various objectives and budgets will facilitate the decision of organizers to host exhibitions and conferences with additional benefits and services. Therefore, we are confident that the total revenue for 2011 will continue to reach two billion baht, growing from 1.8 billion baht in 2010.” Ms. Acharawan Suparngkarat Director of Sales, Impact Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. remarked ”To drive the sales growth as per projection, Sales Department comes up with three key sales strategies for this year including: 1) Promotion of Business Opportunities by focusing on new and existing customers demanding more space and collaborating with Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) to venture new markets for more opportunities and attracting overseas customers, especially medical, organization and association sectors” “2) The competitive advantage of co-located Hotel Novotel Bangkok IMPACT will further facilitate the accessibility requirements by government and private sectors in terms of Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) as they can effectively manage their functions and activities 3) The penetration of small concert market by offering them to use exhibition halls instead of IMPACT Arena which is more ideal for concerts with larger scale under the same standard of sound and lighting management.” Regarding the sales of IMPACT for fiscal year 2010 (April 2010 — March 2011), the growth rate is shown at satisfaction level despite the political turbulence which slashed the sales by two percent. As some events postponed their schedules to year 2010 instead, the sales of 2010 enjoyed growth rate of 20 percent with the following ratio of revenue sources: 50 percent from exhibitions; 19 percent from MICE; 15 percent from trade exhibitions; five percent from concerts and shows; three percent from weddings; and eight percent from other categories. The sources of revenue generated by organizer type were shown as: 62 percent from private sector; 34 percent from government sector, two percent from organizations and associations; and two percent from wedding and party planners. However, IMPACT will administer its sales force under the abovementioned three strategies along with more focus on conferences, seminars, wedding ceremonies and catering services for special activities. This year, IMPACT is proud to be the venue for new events migrating from other venues such as Motor Show, Money Expo; BoI Fair 2011; and The Annual Commemorative Event for His Majesty the King. In addition, some regular exhibitions are expanding their exhibiting space such as THAIFEX Food Exhibition; Bangkok Used Car and Super Car Show; House and Garden Fair. Therefore, the projected growth rate for this year would reach 10 percent and the total revenue could be achieved as planned.
